Purpose of the Role
BGIS is seeking an experienced Logistics Supervisor to manage procurement and logistics operations at one of Queensland’s largest healthcare facilities. Reporting to the Account Manager, you will oversee a small team of three, ensuring effective inventory control, supplier management, and compliance with contractual requirements.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, collaborative, and confident managing people in a busy, high-volume environment while maintaining a calm, low-stress approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise 3 direct reports (1 x Store Person & 2 x Logistics Admin) Manage stores and inventory, ensuring efficient processing of goods
- Monitor minimum/maximum stock levels and conduct regular stocktakes
- Oversee procurement processes, parts requisition, and warranty claims
- Ensure supplier management and fair market value compliance
- Generate purchase requests, usage reconciliation, and reporting
- Prepare monthly reports and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Foster strong relationships with BGIS teams, suppliers, and stakeholders
Education, Experience & Skills
Essential:
- Previous experience in logistics, warehouse, or procurement operations
- Supervisory/people management experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
Desirable:
- Certificate IV in Procurement, Logistics, or Warehouse Management
- Background in healthcare or facilities management
Workplace Flexibility
This position is based on-site in Southport with easy access to public transport. Flexible start and finish times are available within core business hours.
