The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Manager, Business Support Services to provide a critical role at Loddon Prisons Precinct.

Corrections Victoria is responsible for the direction, management and operation of Victoria's prison system and Post Sentence Scheme. As a service agency within the Department of Justice & Community Safety (DJCS), Corrections Victoria develops and implements policies, programs and services that ensure the safe and secure containment of prisoners, and that seek to rehabilitate people in our care by addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour.
About the Role
Reporting to the Prison Services Manager, the Manager, Business Support Services is responsible for leading and managing a team in the effective delivery of and provide advice on a range of business support functions in alignment with policy and procedures to support services for the Loddon Prisons Precinct. This position will also monitor and report on business services including but not limited to fiscal status, monitoring and analysis of various business functions, reporting, and with a key focus on innovation and collaboration of the processes across three key business teams within the location.
This position may require direct prisoner contact and may involve weekend and public holiday work, remunerated in accordance with the applicable provision of the Victorian Public Service Enterprise Agreement.

Some of your duties will include:
- Supervise, manage, and provide leadership and mentoring to a team of staff, working across multiple locations with varied roles and responsibilities.
- Undertake and lead high service delivery standards and timelines, across the precinct in alignment with specified outcomes, stakeholder expectations and location needs.
- Plan and prioritise the team's workload and support their ongoing training and development.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience leading multifunctional teams.
- Knowledge of policies and processes within a state government environment (or similar) would be advantageous.
