The Office of Industrial Relations (OIR) is seeking an experienced and driven Manager, Industry Engagement to lead a dedicated team within the Work Health Design Unit (WHDU). What You'll Do
As Manager, you will:
- Lead the development and delivery of industry-wide engagement programs that enhance safety performance, culture and leadership.
- Provide strategic direction across planning, design, implementation and evaluation of innovative initiatives aligned to OIR's goals.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to influence safety across priority industries and hazard areas.
- Oversee budgets, risk, resource planning and business operations for the WHDU.
- Provide high-level advice to OIR's leadership on industry safety performance and legislative development.
- Build and support a high-performing, geographically diverse team focused on positive safety outcomes.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a confident, experienced leader who can:
- Design and lead evidence-informed programs to support strategic health and safety outcomes.
- Bring deep leadership capability with a focus on team development, empowerment and wellbeing.
- Communicate and influence effectively across diverse audiences, from industry leaders to internal stakeholders.
- Navigate complexity and lead through challenging, sensitive issues with confidence and integrity.
- Quickly grasp legislative, policy and emerging trends impacting work health and safety.
Desirable qualifications:
Tertiary qualifications in work health and safety or a related discipline, and/or formal certifications in project or stakeholder management will be highly regarded.
