About Us:
Music on Stage is a dynamic music retailer and production company representing top-tier brands such as Pioneer, Sennheiser, and Shure. We also provide production support for major events including The Last King of the Cross and Vivid Sydney.
We are currently seeking a driven and creative Marketing student, graduate or a candidate who strong Social Media presence to join our growing team.
The Role:
This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in both retail operations and live event marketing. Over the 6-week training period, you will work closely with our Operations Manager and be trained for the role of Store Manager. You will also work on real marketing campaigns and business activities, including:
- Social media strategy and content
- Event marketing and promotions
- Retail marketing and customer engagement
Although this is an internship, we've included $30 per day for lunch and travel
Who We're Looking For a Candidate who ...
- Able to understand instruction and perform the role with 100% accuracy
- Demonstrates Initiative (this role is a sole manager during office hours) to get the job done and look for things to do when sales are slow
- Has strong social media presence (content quality, consistency, and follower engagement).
- Priority given to candidates who have a background in Marketing is desirable but not essential (either as a current student, graduate or in the work place)
Ultimately, we’re not concerned about formal work experience—if you can clearly communicate your strategies and show you have a proven track record on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube, we want to hear from you.
Opportunity for Advancement:
Successful interns who demonstrate strong marketing ability and commitment will be considered for ongoing paid roles, including shop management and involvement in events such as:
- In-store DJ performances
- YouTube and streaming content
- Club/rave events
- Industry expos and activations
There is also potential to earn up to 25% commission on ticket sales for events you help promote—ideal for creative thinkers who know how to hustle and want to be rewarded for results.
