We create spaces for people to slow down, connect, and make something with clay (and coffee). Across our studios and cafes in NSW and QLD, we are building a creative hospitality business that encourages mindfulness and community connection.
We are looking for an experienced National Studio Manager to lead the operational performance, financial management, and team leadership across all Crockd Studios and Cafes.
This is a hands-on operational leadership role. The focus is on managing physical spaces, supporting teams, and driving performance and customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of Crockd Studios and Cafes across multiple locations in NSW and QLD
- Lead and support Studio Managers and Cafe Managers, fostering high-performing teams
- Plan and optimise class schedules and programming calendars to meet customer demand and revenue targets
- Manage operational budgets, monitor cost control, and ensure financial targets are met
- Maintain stock levels and inventory for both retail cafes and studio programming
- Ensure a high-quality and consistent customer experience across all locations
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and training of studio and cafe staff
- Collaborate with marketing to promote studio offerings and partnerships
- Lead strategic projects such as new studio openings, renovations, and operational improvements
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency
Key Requirements
- Experience working in or managing a ceramics studio or creative space with an understanding of clay processes and production flow
- Experience leading workshops, courses, or classes, ideally with clay or other creative hands-on experiences
- Strong people leadership skills with a passion for building supportive and engaged teams
- Organised, solutions-focused, and comfortable managing operational systems and processes
- Technologically confident with the ability to use and manage custom systems and operational platforms
- Valid driver’s licence with access to a car
- Availability to travel interstate regularly as required
- Fluency in English is essential. Additional language skills such as Portuguese or Spanish are highly regarded
- International experience in hospitality, cafes, or retail environments is advantageous
KPI Focus Areas
- Managing operational budgets across all studios and cafes
- Maintaining stock levels for retail cafes and studio programming
- Achieving earned revenue targets across all locations
- Planning programming and scheduling at least three months in advance
