The Opportunity

We are seeking a digitally savvy and data-driven Performance Marketing & Campaign Officer to join the UniSC Clinical Trials Centre (UniSC CT). As a new position within the team, this role presents an exciting opportunity to shape the future of digital advertising and campaign strategy for our clinical trials portfolio.

This casual position allows UniSC CT to assess the role's fit and scope within a growing team, offering flexibility in how we deliver early-stage marketing initiatives. You’ll lead the planning, execution and optimisation of paid media and database marketing campaigns, and produce compelling content to attract participants, build brand awareness and support business growth.

You’ll be the driving force behind data-informed marketing decisions, using insights to segment audiences and tailor campaigns for maximum impact across digital platforms.

For more information, please visit us online Clinical Trials Centre

You will

  • plan, acquire, activate, monitor and optimise paid media campaigns across digital platforms and partner databases;
  • build, segment and leverage internal and external marketing databases to support participant recruitment and brand awareness;
  • lead campaign production and coordination, including the development of creative copy and campaign messaging;
  • integrate traditional marketing strategies with emerging digital marketing trends;
  • support the development and operationalisation of a digital marketing strategy for UniSC CT;
  • execute media buying across digital (and where needed, traditional) channels;
  • analyse campaign performance and generate reports and insights to inform future activity; and
  • work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to align marketing initiatives with business development and strategic objectives.

About you

You are an independent self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment. You combine strong analytical thinking with creative flair, and have a track record of delivering measurable results through targeted digital campaigns. You are an exceptional communicator with a keen understanding of audience behaviour, data privacy, and stakeholder engagement.

You will possess:

  • a degree in Marketing, Analytics, Creative Industries, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience in digital performance marketing; or 4+ years of self-taught, proven experience in digital marketing, analytics, and database platforms;
  • demonstrated experience in digital media planning and buying;
  • strong proficiency in digital ad platforms (e.g., Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads) and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Looker Studio);
  • proven copywriting skills in a commercial setting;
  • familiarity with CRM systems and database marketing practices;
  • working knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, Australian Privacy Principles);
  • excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data to inform marketing strategy;
  • effective stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and solution-focused approach; and
  • strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and priorities.
