Minara Resources has an opportunity for a Permit to work officer to join our established and dedicated team.

Our Murrin Murrin site in WA’s northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. The Role
The successful person will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who are responsible for the authorisation and issue of Work Permits for Murrin Murrin Operations Processing Plant.
You will be responsible for:
Ensuring permits are prepared and remain compliant with our procedures throughout the permit to work process
Confirming that hazards and controls are clearly defined and signed off by authorised personnel
The preparation of work permits and assigning of Isolation Lists are specific to the scope of work
Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure the isolation of equipment is undertaken safely
Ensuring JSEA’s / Work Instruction’s / Team Based Risk Assessments (TBRAs) have been received from the Permit Acceptor
Authorising the issue of Permits and Certificates
About You
This role would suit a highly organised and customer focused professional looking to develop their career within mining. Y
You will also have:
Previous experience working in a similar role and environment
Exposure to hazard identification and management (advantageous)An understanding of isolations, P&IDs, work permit processes, WHS requirements, legislation and risk assessment processes (advantageous)
The ability to coordinate with multiple people across departments
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal); and
Clear understanding of integrated management systems, word processing, presentations and spread sheets.
