About this opportunity:
As a Plumbing Inspector, you will:
- Assess plumbing and drainage compliance applications and issue permits.
- Conduct inspections and issue compliance certificates.
- Ensure all residential plumbing installations comply with relevant legislation including the Plumbing and Drainage Act 2018, Plumbing Codeof Australia, and Council policies.
- Liaise with builders, plumbers, architects, and engineers regarding water supply, sewerage, trade waste, and on-site sewerage installations.
- Prepare reports, letters, and notices related to compliance assessments.
- Carry out investigations and inspections as required.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- QBCC Licenced plumber and drainer as required by legislation.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in water supply and sewerage.
- Strong understanding of plumbing legislation and standards.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
