What you’ll do
As our PR & Media Specialist, you will provide strategic communications advice and tactical execution on projects as prioritised by the business. You will support both proactive and reactive media relations and business partnering with the relevant areas of the Group as required.
Develop and deliver communication plans to support and positively promote Woolworths Group initiatives.Partner with key internal stakeholder relationships to positively influence business decisions, maximising community trust and enhancing our reputation.
Be our media SME for projects, drafting and clearing media responses with internal stakeholders and senior practice members.
Monitor media, stakeholder and regulatory landscape to identify and share emerging opportunities and risks with key stakeholders.
Manage paid influencer activity, as required by the team.
Support daily press inquiries, social media community management, and issues management as needed.
What you’ll bring
Strong communication skills, both verbally and written.
3 years experience in PR (media, influencer and/or social media engagement).
Ability to identify opportunities to generate proactive positive media coverage.
Understanding of the media landscape at every level, consumer and business/ industry audience.
Ability to establish trusted working relationships with external journalists and agencies, as well as with internal stakeholders and partners.
Demonstrated ability to work in a large matrixed environment, high demanding in-house media press office and within tight time frames as required.
