About the Role:
As Principal Procurement Officer, you will be part of a team that leads complex procurement activities in collaboration with key stakeholders, including the establishment of new supply arrangements for the BCM category to support strategic outcomes.
Responsibilities Include:
In collaboration with key stakeholders, contribute to the development and implementation of appropriate procurement strategies that deliver Departmental and Government objectives and priorities whilst minimising risk.
Exercise a procurement delegation overseeing sourcing processes including development of relevant documentation, market engagement, evaluation of offers and contract negotiation.
Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of departmental requirements and demand, relevant supply markets and procurement strategies and initiatives.
Establish and maintain relationships with a network of key stakeholders across the department and government.
About You:
It would be highly desirable to have the following skills and experience:
You will be a strong communicator with a good knowledge of sourcing processes in a Government context, with experience relevant to the role.
