The Procurement Analyst - 3rd Party Management role sits within the Business Banking, Safe Business function which covers the full range of Business Banking products. This role supports Business Banking in ensuring the business remains compliant and within risk appetite in relation to onboarding and ongoing management of 3rd parties - both Suppliers and Distribution Partners.
You'll support Business Banking across due diligence and ongoing monitoring of 3rd parties to ensure compliance with local and global obligations around procurement, 3rd party management, business continuity, AML and sales and distribution across the Business Banking target customer segments- from sole traders/ self-employed segments through to a mid-corp customer base.
You'll perform oversight, monitoring and governance of contractual requirements, service levels and value generated by 3rd parties and support Business owners across the lifecycle of 3rd party management, working in partnerships with business Procurement, Compliance, Legal, Technology and 3rd Party Risk eperts to ensure effective, efficient and compliant 3rd party interactions supporting business growth.
Roles and Responsibilities
As a key member of the 1st Line of Defense (1LOD) for Business Banking, this role is responsible for:
- Support Business Banking teams as they undertake selection, procurement and onboarding of new suppliers and distribution partners while complying with procurement policies, processes and 3rd Party management frameworks Planning and e
- ecuting the annual calendar of 3rd party management activities, including updates to 3rd party contracts, risk assessments, due diligence activities and governance activities
- Act as the key liaison day to day between 3rd party and business service owners to ensure awareness and communication of changes, updates and relevant planning activities
- Coordinate, participate in and implement updates or activities required as part of regulatory, policy or business change for Business Banking
- Design and conduct contract audits and supplier controls, overseeing performance where appropriate against SLAs to drive business value Act as a key contact point for business continuity activities across Business Banking, working with e
- perts in Business Continuity Management and Technology Risk teams to ensure resilient business services across 3rd/ 4th parties
- Reporting, analysis and insights on supplier and distribution party usage, value and compliance – including liaising to manage any events, issues, complaints or related risk activities
- Maintenance of documentation, contracts and evidence associated with 3rd party management to support audits and control testing activities
Skills and eperience
Someone who has…
5-10 years’ e- perience in a banking or financial services role or related industry (e.g. Supplier to industry) E
- perience working in an agile environment, with a good understanding of 3rd party risk, procurement and business continuity processes
- Understanding of regulatory & compliance regimes relevant to 3rd party suppliers and distribution partners in Financial Services (AML/ KYC, Privacy, Design & Distribution Obligations, Banking Code of Practice, CPS230, DORA, Unfair Contract Terms, Modern Slavery).
- Sound understanding of operational risk processes – including risk assessment, issue and event management, control testing
- Natural curiosity and strong problem-solving skills to delve into identifying root causes and finding solutions to address process and control deficiencies, prevent customer impact, and remediate where needed.
- Data fluency, attention to detail and a passion for deriving insight from data and supporting management decisions through reporting and insights
- Strong relationship building and influencing skills, able to liaise with a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Initiative and drive to identify potential problems and motivate peers to collaborate to deliver better customer outcomes
