Join our team as a Procurement Category Manager - Capital, where you'll play a key role in driving commercial value across Wilmar's capital projects. Acting as a trusted advisor to the Capital team, you'll lead supplier engagement, streamline selection and negotiation processes, and ensure robust contractual coverage and compliance. Your expertise will support best-value decisions, improve supplier performance, and bring structure and consistency to capital procurement activities - ensuring strong commercial outcomes across the project portfolio.

Your Role in Action
- Drive Smarter Supplier Decisions: Develop and implement a robust supplier assessment model to reduce risk and ensure optimal outcomes for capital projects.
- Lead Strategic Supplier Engagement: Manage key supplier negotiations, fostering strong relationships and ensuring commercial integrity across all stages of the project.
- Embed Procurement Expertise Early: Provide critical input during capital planning to maximise commercial outcome and ensure long-term business value.
- Promote Safety Across the Supply Chain: Champion safety standards with key suppliers, integrating safety practices into all supplier relationships and forums.
- Ensure Strong Commercial Governance: Ensure compliance with company policies, trade legislation, and procurement processes, mitigating risks and upholding contract integrity.
- Create a Culture of Collaboration: Foster trust and open communication across teams, driving collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement in project delivery.
Your Winning Combination
Our ideal candidate will have at least five years' experience in a similar role, with a degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Finance, or Law. You'll bring a strong understanding of Total Cost of Ownership and a proven track record in developing procurement strategies and building effective relationships across the business. Experience with category management, analytics, and centre-led procurement processes is essential. Sugar industry experience and membership with the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply would be advantageous.
