About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Planner – Digital to join our Hunter Class Frigate Program based at Osborne SA, reporting to the Production Planning Lead.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight.
You will be responsible for digitally assigning installable ship products to production work packs using the 3D model, ahead of drawing development, to support the Hunter Class Frigate’s construction phase.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assign installable parts and assemblies to production work packs utilising a 3D model whilst following inputs from Production Trade Standards and key engineering artefacts to create the production BoM and installation sequence.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to align planning with project needs.
- Interpret and integrate 3D models and technical drawings into production workflows.
- Support the digitisation and automation of planning processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Present the finished Digital Plan to stakeholders including Production to achieve agreement of the plan.
About YOU
- Experience in a production, scheduling, or production planning role, ideally within manufacturing industries.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and/or 3D models
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications
- An understanding of planning and scheduling processes, systems, and tools.
- NV1 security clearance or eligibility to obtain.
- Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations.
