About the position
The Project Coordinator provides critical support for the delivery of Council’s capital projects in organising programs, resources, contract administration, and activities efficiently and effectively by communicating and working closely with project managers and Council’s assets teams including roads and drainage, property and building, and water and wastewater. Reporting to the Director Infrastructure & Property and effectively consulting across Council’s business units including asset engineering, communications, finance, grants, and Work Health Safety teams. The role is important to ensure timely and efficient progress of construction projects from concept, design through to delivery managing associated risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordination of multiple projects for Council’s assets ensuring associated risks are mitigated through effective project coordination, scheduling of resources, contract administration, and activities including site surveillance of quality, environmental and Work Health Safety.
- Organise and maintain the forward project delivery program for effective budget and resource planning, aligning with both internal and external expectations.
- Manage a team to be utuilised throughout the Infrastructure & Property Directorate, including the Site Surveillance Officer and Contracts Administrator.
- Consult across Council including managing works programming conflicts between sites, allocation of resources including budgets, contract administration, grant and communications requirements, and project milestones, ensuring all stakeholders are working towards deadlines.

About you
- Tertiary qualifications and substantial relevant experience in construction / project management.
- Strong communication skills and negotiation skills.
- Strong organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and components with programmes and project software. (Office based).
- General construction induction card (white card)
- Demonstrated experience and/or capability to deliver the Job Specific Key Accountabilities (outlined in the Position Description).
- Demonstrated Advanced key capabilities as defined in the Key Capabilities Table (outlined in the Position Description).
What we offer
- Temporary full time, 35 hours per week, Term Contract for a period of 4 years
- Salary from $93,352 to $104,847 per year (depending on qualifications, skills and experience) plus 12% superannuation
