Are you an experienced records manager with a passion for innovation and collaboration? We are seeking a Records Governance Advisor to support the implementation, management, and continuous improvement in the management of the University’s information and records.
The Role
In this role you will be an integral part of the team responsible for implementation of the University’s record management program. You will be a subject matter expert in the management of digital and physical records, responsible for training and day-to-day end-user support.
As the Records Governance Advisor, you will:
- Support the implementation and optimisation of the University’s approach to recordkeeping, helping to drive a culture of compliance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Be knowledgeable of contemporary recordkeeping practices and have a commitment to quality, and customer service.
- Be a good communicator with experience in developing and delivery of training to lift recordkeeping capability across the organisation.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders supporting the implementation of the records lifecycle across the University.
- Support the development of contemporary practices in information and records management including monitoring, analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate with business system owners, cybersecurity, IT and colleagues to embed the records management lifecycle within key corporate business systems.
- Participate in a collaborative and constructive team environment, cooperating and gaining trust and commitment from our stakeholders.
This continuing position is full time at a HEW 6 Higher Education Level located at Callaghan Campus.

A solution focused leader with demonstrated commitment to the provision of quality records management and ability to business partner with stakeholders to deliver a quality records management outcome.
- Capacity to deal effectively with internal and external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, and the ability to communicate the value adding of recordkeeping compliance responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and provide highly sensitive information, respecting confidentiality and disclosure regulations and an understanding of the risk management framework.
- Excellent organisational skills, a flexible approach to work and demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines. Demonstrated capacity to act independently as well as part of a team.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills including the capacity to build relationships and an inter-disciplinary way of working.
- Demonstrated experience of design and delivery of training.
- Knowledge of, and experience in adhering to workplace policies and procedures in the areas of work health safety, equity, diversity and promoting a respectful workplace culture.
Desirable
- A Certified TRIM Administrator.
