The Northern Land Council (NLC) is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Recruitment Officer to join our People & Culture team and help shape a positive and inclusive workforce. This is a great opportunity to deliver meaningful recruitment support in an organisation committed to Aboriginal leadership and community service across the Top End.

About the Role

As a Recruitment Officer, you’ll provide high-level support to hiring managers and selection panels, delivering professional advice on job design, talent acquisition, and best-practice recruitment strategy. You’ll coordinate end-to-end recruitment campaigns across multiple service areas, ensuring that each step is legally compliant, culturally appropriate, and aligned with NLC’s people-first approach. Working under the direction of the Senior Recruitment Officer, you’ll also play a key role in maintaining and administering NLC’s e-recruitment system, drafting engaging job advertisements, supporting onboarding activities, and improving the overall candidate and hiring manager experience. This is a fast-paced and collaborative role that offers exposure to a wide range of recruitment activities across the NLC.

What you will Bring

You are a proactive and detail-oriented recruitment professional who takes pride in delivering efficient, inclusive and candidate-friendly hiring processes. You bring experience managing end-to-end recruitment campaigns and are confident advising hiring managers on job design, advertising strategies, and selection methodologies. You know how to tailor your approach to diverse stakeholders. You’re highly organised, tech-savvy, and skilled in using recruitment systems to streamline workflows, track progress and support hiring compliance. Above all, you understand the value of culturally safe recruitment practices and bring a strong sense of integrity, discretion and respect for the communities we serve.

In addition to this, you will have: -

  • Diploma in Human Resource Management.
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in recruitment or HR with a strong focus on talent acquisition
  • Proven experience coordinating end-to-end recruitment in a high-volume environment
  • A strong commitment to ethical conduct and maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality.

We offer:

  • Salary Package of $88,487 Inclusive of 15% superannuation
  • Salary sacrificing up to $15,900 + meal entertainment and holiday accommodation benefits up to $2,650 per year.
  • Other benefits under our Enterprise Agreement include:
    • District allowance of up to $4,797 per annum for individuals with dependents and $2,630 without dependents.
    • 5 weeks annual leave, leaving loading, 18 days personal leave;
    • Paid Christmas close down;
    • Upon completion of 12 months of service an Annual airfare with a net (in hand) value of $3,177
