We pride ourselves on creating a vibrant community space and are seeking a dedicated and experienced Retail Manager to lead our front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
Position Description:
The Retail Manager will be responsible for the overall daily operations of the café, including staff supervision, inventory control, customer service delivery, and achieving business performance goals. The role demands strong leadership, multitasking ability, and a passion for hospitality and excellence in retail service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily café operations to ensure efficiency and smooth service delivery.
- Responsible for overseeing the shop accounts, to ensure all financial transactions are recorded as per compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with customers with confidence and promote the sale of products.
- Proactively plan and direct outstanding customer service and sustain sound client relations.
- Lead, train, and supervise front and back-of-house team members
- Plan and coordinate rosters to meet operational needs and wage cost targets.
- Monitor inventory, place stock orders, and manage supplier relationships.
- Handle customer feedback and resolve any issues professionally.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, WHS requirements, and company policies.
- Prepare and review financial and operational reports to improve performance.
- Collaborate with owners on promotions, sales strategies, and business improvement plans
Required Qualifications:
- Certificate IV or higher in Hospitality, Retail Management
Skills & Experience Required:
- A minimum of 2 years full-time experience in a retail management role
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Strong knowledge of café operations, stock control, and customer service standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to manage pressure and work in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Experience using POS and rostering systems
- Food safety knowledge highly regarded

Salary – AUD 76,515 - $80,000 per year plus superannuation
