We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious RPAS (Drone) Pilot to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for conducting aerial asset inspections, photogrammetry capture, and assisting with data acquisition across a variety of locations and environments within Australia and are managed from our Head Office in Melbourne.
This is a field-based role with regular travel. We welcome candidates based anywhere in who are flexible, autonomous, and eager to work on industry-leading projects.
Key Responsibility:
- Operate RPAs in line with CASA regulations and company protocols
- Conduct aerial inspections of infrastructure, buildings, and environments
- Assist with flight planning, risk assessments, and onsite logistics
- Capture data for photogrammetry, 3D modeling, and other survey-grade outputs
- Complete inspection forms and post inspection documentation
- Manage large datasets acquired on-site, ready for post-processing
- Maintain RPAs, flight logs, and operational records
- Liaise professionally with clients and team members on site
Requirements:
- RePL (Remote Pilot Licence) sub 7kg or higher
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively and to regional areas of the country
- Experience with DJI drones
- 30+ hours drone experience
- Experience in commercial drone operations
- Strong situational awareness and attention to safety
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Self management and self motivation skills
- Physically fit and able to work in varying outdoor conditions
Desirable:
- Experience in infrastructure or environmental inspections
- Experience with photogrammetry/data capture software/drone mapping (e.g. DJI Terra, Bentley, Pix4D)
- Commercial drone experience in digital twin
- White Card or RIW
- Experience flying under an ReOC
