Job Description
We now have a great opportunity for a Senior Integrity Engineer to join our Supply Chain business and our national network of fuel storage terminals.
This role can be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane with interstate travel required across the Eastern seaboard States (Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Townsville) and some storage facilities in Tasmania, SA and WA.
As the Senior Integrity Engineer, you will operate within the Reliability & Integrity engineering team supporting up to 30 terminals & depots across Australia. As a Subject Matter Expert, you will be directly supporting our asset owners, maintenance and projects teams, responsible for developing and implementing the asset integrity program inclusive of risk, compliance management, inspection & maintenance regimes, and engineering analysis.
Responsibilities & Requirements
- Manage asset integrity in accordance with Australian Standards, Industry Standards, VIVA Energy Engineering Guidelines and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead, develop and assess inspection reports, corrosion management optimising asset integrity to support the asset integrity program.
- Strong technical knowledge in asset integrity, risk-based inspection (API-580, API-571), asset reliability management to oversee inspection works including scoping, contracting, overseeing site works, competency management and quality assurance.
- Act as asset reliability and integrity technical SME to Asset Owner, Engineering & Maintenance teams to support the design, construction, modification and disposal of major assets as well troubleshoot asset related issues
- Experienced in failure mode and effects analysis / predictive analysis / root cause analysis to determine potential failure points and timing to plan maintenance and optimise asset management.
- Maintain and further develop the asset integrity database inclusive of asset summaries, RBIs, historical records, financial data and look ahead programs. Leverage the database to report KPIs.
Qualifications
About you:
- To be successful you will be a Qualified Engineer (CPEng or working towards) with over 10 years of experience in the hydrocarbon industry across maintenance, projects and operations with strong communication and coordination skills.
- Have strong technical knowledge of maintenance and project requirements in Major Hazard Facilities.
- Have the confidence and capacity to align business and stakeholder priorities and provide clarity and vision for the broader team.
- Are dependable, detail-oriented and can apply innovative problem-solving skills. You will have a track record in taking ownership and delivering on your promises.
- Possess excellent stakeholder management skills (both internal and external) and are able to manage complex and strategically important relationships.
- Able to positively influence a diverse stakeholder group that includes senior management, operations, contractors, and suppliers.
- Able to work with a high degree of autonomy and effectively prioritise your time in a dynamic work environment.
- Experience in collaborating with teams across different geographical locations with a high percentage of blue-collar workers.
- Experience in API650 storage tank inspection, repairs and modifications, with extensive experience in the application of API653 will be highly regarded.
- Experience in tank assets, including engineering tools such as floor scanning (Slofec), ultrasonic and finite element assessment will be highly regarded.
- Experience with EEMUA 159 (Engineering Equipment and Materials Users Association) in particular tank integrity RBI methodology will be desirable.
