About the Role
This is your chance to lead the vibe.
As Social Specialist - Community & Engagement Lead, you’ll be the human voice behind the Contiki brand. You’ll spark conversations, build relationships, and champion creators and superfans who live for travel. Reporting to the Social Media Manager, you’ll be at the heart of real-time engagement across our global platforms, bringing energy, authenticity and connection to every scroll, swipe and comment.
What You’ll Be Doing

Community Engagement and Conversation
- Be the human voice behind Contiki replying, reacting and engaging with our community daily
- Spot trending moments, memes and UGC gold before they go mainstream
- Keep your finger on the pulse of what our audience is saying, feeling and sharing

Creator Advocacy and Social Relationships
- Build and nurture relationships with influencers, travellers and superfans
- Lead giveaways, micro-collabs and ambassador activations that create buzz
- Help our community tell their stories and spotlight them on our platforms

Team Collaboration
- Collaborate with content, creative, product and customer teams to keep our vibe consistent
- Align with the wider marketing team on key campaigns, social calendars, and goals

Insights & Feedback Loop
- Monitor engagement, track sentiment, and surface community insights
- Feed real-time audience feedback into campaign and brand decisions
- Proactively suggest new directions based on trends and data

Brand Guardian
- Ensure every interaction reflects Contiki’s voice, tone and values
- Turn community highlights into shareable, on-brand content
- Stay across Gen Z trends and make sure Contiki is always part of the conversation
- Flag risks and manage community health, keeping spaces safe and positive
What You Bring
- 3-5 years of experience in social media, digital content, or online community roles
- Experience growing and managing an engaged audience bonus if it’s for a youth, travel or lifestyle brand
- A human voice and bold writing style, clear, cheeky, and always on-brand
- Strong understanding of engagement metrics, analytics tools, and content trends
- Experience mentoring or leading others, even informally
- A passion for travel, storytelling, and digital culture
