What the role entails
- Help deliver and support Warakirri Cropping’s Sustainability Strategy
- Coordinate initiatives across three key pillars: people and community, climate resilience and natural capital, and sustainable productivity
- Track and analyse sustainability KPIs and contribute to our annual Sustainability Report
- Assist with annual greenhouse gas data collection, emissions calculations, and reporting
- Support the management of sustainability-related accreditation programs such as Leading Harvest
- Contribute to sustainability budgeting and support preparation for new regulatory reporting requirements.
- Support the implementation of Warakirri’s decarbonisation strategy
- Assist with nature-related disclosures and biodiversity initiatives aligned with frameworks.
- Engage with stakeholders across farms, leadership, and regulatory and industry bodies
- Identify opportunities for collaboration, funding, and partnerships
Qualifications
The desired skills and experience for this opportunity are
- You may be early in your career or recently graduated, or you may have up to two years’ experience in a related role, we’re open to the right person with the right attitude
- A passion for sustainability and a strong affinity with the cropping or agricultural industry is essential
- Relevant qualifications in sustainability, environmental science, agriculture, natural resource management, or a related field
- Experience with climate risk analysis, decarbonisation planning, or nature-related impact measurement is a plus, but not a must
- Ability to coordinate internal and external stakeholders across technical and operational contexts
- Strong analytical, reporting and project management skills
- A collaborative, proactive and adaptable working style
