Position Information
Gulgong High School is a comprehensive co-educational secondary school providing education to a rural community in the Central West of NSW. The school draws students from Gulgong and surrounding localities. The student population currently stands at 223 students, including 59 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
Students with special needs are supported both in mainstream classes, as well as in two multi-categorical classes, with a third class to be established to begin in 2026.
Gulgong High School is student-focused and outcomes driven, where every student is known, valued and cared for so they can connect, succeed, and thrive. We emphasise curriculum differentiation and quality teaching to ensure every student can excel academically and achieve their personal best.

Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach SCI - Science 7-10.
- Ability to develop and deliver effective and engaging teaching programs.
- Demonstrated capacity to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
- High level of interpersonal skills and the capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team and willingness to contribute to whole school programs.
