Job Description
We are currently seeking a dynamic, experienced Food & Beverage Team Leader who will embrace being part of the Novotel family. This opportunity exists for a well-rounded F&B professional to bring their skills and experience to F&B outlets of the hotel and join the Food & Beverage leadership team in the capacity of F&B Team Leader. The primary focus of the role will be Fenians Bar, however will also oversee other outlets as required.
Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for:
- The efficient running of the food and beverage service function to both meet and exceed guest needs and expectations.
- Supervise, lead and develop the team of food and beverage attendants in operations, through coaching and mentoring as well as a strong focus on employee engagement.
- Maintain product knowledge and maximize F&B sales.
- Ensure all service areas and equipment are kept clean and organized.
- Attend to operational problems and needs promptly, including customer complaints, enquiries and requests.
- Ensure revenue for the shift is accurately accounted for, with cash/charge summary being completed to balance daily activities.
- Be knowledgeable of and operate within appropriate outlet and hotel liquor licensing guidelines and House Management Policies.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Strong leadership skills and previous experience in leading a team within the hospitality industry.
- Excellent communication skills; including both verbal and written.
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA).
- Knowledge of both local & imported beer & wine as well as contemporary & classic cocktail
- Barista & coffee skills.
- Impeccable grooming and personal presentation.
- Flexibility to work across a 7 day rotating roster, including nights and weekends.
- Holding an Approved Manager licence would be advantageous.
