The opportunity:
As a Team Leader Project Engagement, you’ll lead our Southern Queensland team in shaping how Powerlink connects with the communities we serve. You’ll guide a group of dedicated specialists, helping them deliver authentic and transparent engagement that builds trust and strengthens our social licence.
- Inspire and lead a team delivering engagement across a range of energy projects
- Oversight of strategic project engagement planning and implementation to help inform project progression
- Create space for meaningful conversations with communities and stakeholders
- Collaborate with senior leaders to influence decisions and manage reputational risks

As part of our Communications, Customer and Engagement Group in the Corporate Services Division, you’ll be based at our Virginia office and lead a close-knit team of three Project Engagement Specialists. You’ll join a passionate, purpose-driven group who care deeply about connecting with communities and other stakeholders, and creating lasting, positive impact. Together, you’ll help bring Queensland’s energy future to life – by ensuring our projects are shaped by the voices of those they affect.

You’ll bring a passion for building meaningful relationships and leading your team to deliver best practice project engagement. With your deep experience in managing complex projects, you’ll confidently navigate challenges,, inspire your team to create real impact, and protect and strengthen our corporate reputation. Your clear communication and strategic insight will empower leaders and communities alike, driving positive outcomes that matter.
Essential:
Degree-level qualification in Public Relations or a related discipline- Significant experience working in an engagement and communications based role
