Position: Turf Farm Heavy Machinery Operator
Location: Little Mulgrave
Full-Time / Permanent / Long-Term Position/ not suitable for Work and Holiday Visa Holder
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain farm machinery, including JCB Telehandler, harvesters, tractors and other equipment essential for turf farm operations.
- Assist with turf maintenance tasks, ensuring top-quality products are produced.
- Collaborate with a team to ensure smooth, efficient farm operations.
- Monitor and troubleshoot mechanical issues, performing maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as JCB Telehandler, harvesters, and related equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine maintenance and repairs.
- Interest or background in greenkeeping, turf maintenance, or related fields.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality turf.
- A valid driver’s license and any necessary certifications.
Desirable Skills:
- Previous experience in turf farming or agriculture.
- Knowledge of turf care and maintenance techniques.
- Experience with other farm machinery and tools.
