About Us:
Men’s Advocacy Network (MAN) is a grassroots, community-led organisation working with men, boys, and families in Alice Springs and surrounding remote Aboriginal communities. We run healing, mentoring, youth diversion, and advocacy programs to create stronger, safer futures for our people.
We’re looking for a Volunteer Administration Officer — someone reliable, skilled, and passionate about supporting a growing organisation doing meaningful work. This is a great opportunity to be part of a team creating real change on the ground.
Your Role:
As our Volunteer Administration Officer, you’ll be the backbone of our operations — keeping things organised, professional, and flowing smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who’s organised, detail-focused, and committed to community service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage office files, records, and digital systems
- Assist with scheduling, emails, and phone communications
- Support grant and report preparation (typing, formatting, filing)
- Maintain attendance records and program tracking logs
- Coordinate meeting minutes and staff rosters
- Help keep the office space clean, welcoming, and culturally respectful
- Assist the leadership team with special projects and community events
We’re Looking for Someone Who:
✅ Has excellent attention to detail and time management
✅ Can handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
✅ Is a good communicator, both written and verbal
✅ Can work independently and take initiative
✅ Respects Aboriginal culture and is open to learning
✅ Has a positive attitude, is honest, and reliable
Desirable Qualifications:
- Previous admin or office support experience (paid or volunteer)
- Certificate III or higher in Business Administration or Community Services
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email systems
- Current Ochre Card (Working with Children Check) or willingness to apply
- Driver Licence (preferred but not essential)
What We Offer:
- Supportive, inclusive, and culturally respectful team
- Reference letter and certificate of service
- Travel and meal reimbursement (when supporting community events)
- Flexible hours to suit your schedule
- Opportunity to grow with us and make a real difference
