As a Weighbridge Operator at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you'll be responsible for the correct weighing of all cane entering the weighbridge and data entry from the corresponding consignment information. This position is responsible for communicating with yard locomotives and the juice laboratory, general cleaning, work in confined spaces and maintaining records.

This is a permanent position in our sugar processing factory which requires shift work during the crushing season (June - December), including weekends and overtime and day work during the maintenance period (Jan - May).
Your Role in Action
- Accuracy in Action: Enter cane consignment data and maintain records of scheduled weighbridge test weights whilst ensuring confidentiality of all cane related information upheld.
- Housekeeping Hero: Maintain excellent housekeeping practices of fixed plant around weighbridge. Assist in scheduling cleaning of the weighbridge.
- Collaboration Crew: Communicate effectively with Cane Supply & Transport and Laboratory teams.
- Clear & Concise: Provide regular and accurate feedback to Mill management on station performance and quality issues.
- Ready, Set, Competent: Willing and able to achieve relevant sugar milling module competencies.
Your Winning Combination
The successful applicant will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (including familiarity communicating via UHF) and demonstrable ability to work alongside a range of different people. Basic mechanical skills will be highly regarded.
While the following qualifications are requirements in this role, training will be considered for people who possess the right aptitude and team fit:

- Additional skills that are highly regarded for the maintenance period include: Trade Qualifications and Rigger, Dogger and Scaffolder High Risk Work Licences.
