About the role

The Accreditation Assessment Officer plays a key part in ensuring the quality and integrity of psychiatry training across Australia and New Zealand. Working within the Education Department, you’ll coordinate the College’s accreditation processes, providing high-level administrative, organisational and stakeholder support.

From planning and facilitating accreditation panel visits (including complex travel arrangements), through to drafting detailed reports and managing stakeholder communications, you’ll be central to ensuring that training programs meet the College’s rigorous accreditation standards.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives on managing detail, juggling competing priorities, and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, all while contributing to the future of psychiatric education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate accreditation panels and visits, including logistics, timetables, meetings and stakeholder liaison.

  • Prepare and deliver high-quality reports, documentation and compliance records within set timeframes.

  • Act as a key point of contact for Directors of Training, committees and administrators, ensuring smooth processes and professional communication.

  • Manage accreditation data, surveys and systems to monitor outcomes and drive continuous improvement.

  • Support the Accreditation Committee and related groups, including planning, minute taking and follow-up actions.

What you'll bring

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing and stakeholder liaison.

  • High attention to detail, accuracy and commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, databases, survey tools and online meeting platforms.

  • Flexibility to travel and work occasional after-hours to support accreditation activities.

  • Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or the legal right to work in Australia.

The successful candidate will be required to complete a National Police Check prior to commencing employment.

Some of what’s on offer:

  • Salary range from $65,363 to $81,755 total remuneration package (TRP) is on offer, inclusive of leave loading and 12% superannuation.
  • Hybrid working model: 2 days in the office, 3 days from home.
  • A paid day off each month for full-time employees.
  • 12 weeks of gender-neutral paid parental leave for both primary and secondary caregivers.
  • A values-led, inclusive, and culturally safe workplace where diversity is celebrated.
  • The chance to be part of a passionate team working to improve mental health outcomes.
  • Purpose-driven work that makes a meaningful difference to communities across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
