The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) is responsible for training, educating and representing psychiatrists in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. The College is accredited by the Australian Medical Council (AMC) and the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) to deliver specialist medical education and training, and professional development programs.


About the role

This is a full-time, fixed-term role (18 months) offering the opportunity to play a key part in supporting the delivery of high-stakes assessments within the RANZCP Education team.


In this role, you'll provide vital administrative support across a range of assessment activities, with a particular focus on coordinating applications, managing marking processes, and ensuring the smooth administration of assessments across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Supporting the smooth delivery of assessments through hands-on coordination and admin expertise.

  • Preparing and organising key information and materials for clinical and written exams.

  • Managing documentation with care, including data entry, filing and keeping everything in order.

  • Being a go-to support for colleagues, stakeholders and committees.

What you'll bring

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail, and deliver high-quality outcomes under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a commitment to providing responsive and professional customer service.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (including Excel) and database systems, with the ability to identify issues and contribute to process improvements.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating initiative, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience in education, assessment, or membership environments, ideally within the tertiary or postgraduate sector.
  • Candidates must have full working rights in Australia (i.e. no work hour or employer restrictions).

Some of what’s on offer:

  • A Total Remuneration Package (TRP) from $64,533 to $77,398 is on offer, inclusive of leave loading and 12% super.
  • Hybrid working model: 2 days in the office, 3 days from home.
  • A paid day off each month for full-time employees.
  • 12 weeks of gender-neutral paid parental leave for both primary and secondary caregivers.
