About the Role

We're looking for an AI and Automation Lead to drive innovation through data science, AI, and intelligent automation. In this role, you'll lead deep-dive analyses from stakeholder engagement to insight delivery, identifying opportunities to apply advanced analytics and AI in meaningful ways. You'll also establish a governed automation practice, designing scalable solutions that enhance data analysis quality, reduce manual effort, and improve process reliability across the business.

What you’ll be doing

  • Collaborate with business units and senior leaders to uncover opportunities where data analysis and AI and automation can drive measurable impact, aligning initiatives with strategic goals.
  • Scope and lead time-boxed projects, ensuring each engagement has clearly defined objectives, success criteria, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions with subject matter experts and stakeholders to deeply understand business challenges, define problem statements, and identify solutions.
  • Perform comprehensive data analysis using advanced techniques, including data wrangling, statistical modeling, and machine learning, to generate insights that address business questions.
  • Identify, prototype, and implement AI and data science solutions, moving successful proofs of concept into production to solve real-world business problems.
  • Establish and maintain a governed automation practice, including frameworks, standards, and best practices to ensure scalable, secure, and sustainable automation delivery.
  • Design and build low-code automation solutions that improve data quality, reduce manual effort, and enhance the reliability and efficiency of business processes.
  • Maintain a centralised view of automation capabilities across the organisation, tracking progress, monitoring performance, and ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Continuously evaluate and recommend new tools, platforms, and techniques to enhance the speed, security, and effectiveness of both data analysis and automation initiatives.

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering impactful data science and automation solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with AI architecture and integration, including deploying models into production environments and managing lifecycle considerations.
  • Experience with Python coding and familiarity with Workato or similar automation platforms, with the ability to design, build, and maintain scalable automation.
  • Strong understanding of ethical considerations in AI, including bias mitigation, transparency, and responsible use of data.
  • Solid grasp of cybersecurity principles and data governance, ensuring all solutions are secure, compliant, and aligned with organisational standards.
