Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Health's core values, as mentioned in the role description.
Process licensing and other Act Instrument applications including:
Data entry and verification of application data integrity against criteria; database management.
Approval of low-risk renewal applications.
Issue of licence documentation.
Answer telephone and email enquiries and liaise with, and provide advice to, clients and prospective clients about licensing matters relating to the administration of public health legislation and directing calls to appropriate officers and programme areas when required.
Correspond with licensees and prospective licensees about licensing and related matters, monitor outstanding requests and instigate remedial actions to bring matters to a conclusion, when required.
Perform basic financial transactions associated with licence applications in accordance with financial policy; process and reconcile EFTPOS payments for application and renewal fees.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to provide responsive, accurate and relevant advice to clients.
Demonstrated data entry skills with a strong detail orientation and ability to work quickly and accurately.
Highly developed time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines and manage own workload.
Demonstrated flexible approach to work and willingness to support team members to address critical issues.
A keen desire to work collaboratively in a high performing team with a client service orientation.
Knowledge of, or ability to, rapidly acquire knowledge of processing basic financial transactions associated with licence applications.
Awareness of or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the licensing and registration system and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to accurately extract and collate information from the licensing database.
