About the role

The City Rangers team is looking for a proactive and organised Business Support Officer to join our high-performing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting others, working in a fast-paced environment and contributing to the smooth running of a busy department. The role focuses heavily on written communication, coordination and administration, and will suit someone with strong attention to detail, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities.


In this role you’ll:

  • coordinate and respond to correspondence, including drafting and maintaining a library of standard responses
  • support the team with meeting coordination, minute taking and records management
  • assist in preparing reports and responses, including for official letters and legislative matters
  • liaise with stakeholders across the organisation and external partners
  • help organise department events and support continuous improvement projects.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • industry experience (preferably 2 years or more)
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • great attention to detail and time management
  • experience in coordinating meetings and documenting outcomes
  • a collaborative, proactive approach and good judgment
  • demonstrated experience working within a legislative or regulatory frameworks
  • experience with document management systems.

Please note: To be eligible for permanent appointment to this position, you must have Australian citizenship or hold permanent residency status with unrestricted working rights.


This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
