The Finance Administration Officer ensures the accurate and timely receipting of funds, effective communication with families regarding fees, and assistance with broader financial functions such as data entry, reconciliations, and reporting.
Responsibilities Include:
- Process and allocate incoming receipts from families, staff, and external customers in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist and monitor outstanding accounts and follow up on overdue payments in a respectful and professional manner.
- Assist and maintain up-to-date debtor records, including changes to student enrolments and payment arrangements.
- Assisting with the collection and processing of payment via cash, EFTPOS, direct debit & online portals made on campus by College staff, students, parents or general college community.
- Support the management of direct debit or instalment payment programs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activity.
- Assist with daily ad hoc finance administration tasks including data entry, filing, scanning, and archiving.
- Assist in preparing reports for internal stakeholders such as aged debtor summaries or fee forecasts.
- Prepare and maintain accurate and organised financial records in accordance with audit requirements.
- Support month-end and year-end processes.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry and financial record keeping.
- Experience using finance software e.g. Xero, MYOB (desirable)
- 1-2 years' experience in a similar role.
Essential Qualifications:
- Current Working with Children Blue Card (or ability to obtain)
- Degree/Diploma relevant to the position or working towards.
