As a Human Resources Generalist at Freo Group you will play a pivotal role in collaborating with employees and leadership to support effective Human Resources Management through HR Business Processes such as recruitment, onboarding, HRIS database management, employee and industrial relations, and HR business improvement projects. Your role will be instrumental in supporting our legislative compliance, fostering a positive work culture, and supporting the employee life cycle from end to end.You will be responsible for but not be limited to:
Collaborate with Branch Management on workforce planning and staffing needs.
Serve as the first point of contact for employees with inquiries pertaining to professionals’ recruitment, onboarding, Workday navigation. Identifying and escalating complex inquiries or cases as needed.
Provide expect advice and support on HR matters to branch leaders, that fosters our desired performance culture.
Ensure the consistent interpretation and application of HR policies, procedures, and guidelines across the organization, updating and creating new ones based on business growth and legislation changes.
Create HR reporting and analytics for business regarding key performance indicators: turnover, recruitment, performance reviews, employee engagement survey, training and compensation, making recommendations for process improvements based upon trends.
Develop working knowledge in all generalist disciplines within HR by supporting business process and implementation of various HR strategies and priorities, including employee and relations, talent management, compensation, training and development, and disability management.
Build organizational knowledge and business/financial acumen to establish strategic relationships with business leaders.
Reporting to and supporting the Human Resources Manager you will learn to provide valuable industrial relations and employee relations counsel to branch leaders, including disciplinary procedures, workplace investigations and Enterprise Agreement interpretation and negotiations.

Experience in a related HR position, preferably in heavy industry, construction or mining.
Qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing demands.
Team orientated mindset with a commitment to excellence.
Superior analytical skills, to review and recommend change initiatives which improve employee resource management.
Effective change management knowledge to support employees and leaders in Human Resource change initiatives.
Knowledge and understanding of employment legislation, regulations, procedures and standards within Australia.

This role will service our Western Australian Operations, with a requirement for site travel, and attendance in person at our Hope Valley offices.
