What we are looking for:
We’re looking for an experienced complaints and information professional to join our governance team taking responsibility for our complaints and information handling and management system.
What your day will look like:
- Reviewing and prioritising complaints in line with delegations and organisational priorities
- Conducting thorough assessments and reviews of complaints and information requests
- Providing well-researched recommendations and monitoring their implementation
- Ensuring compliance with council reporting obligations and legislative requirements
- Delivering training to internal stakeholders to enhance knowledge and compliance practices
- Engaging with different areas of local government to provide tailored governance support

What you’ll need for success:
- Extensive experience in handling administrative complaints and managing right to information and information privacy matters
- Strong ability to interpret and apply legislation
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong research and report-writing capabilities
- A proactive and adaptable approach to learning across diverse local government functions
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
