Primary objective
Undertake and / or oversee a range of contracted and ad hoc maintenance and capital or minor new works projects to ensure the Marrara
Precinct’s grounds, property, equipment and facilities are maintained and operating efficiently and effectively. Provide operational support
to facilitate the delivery of high-quality events, functions and community-based activities.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Manage the delivery of contracted and ad hoc maintenance activities for the Marrara Precinct’s grounds, property, equipment, and
facilities to ensure these activities are undertaken on time and within budget.
2. Regularly assist with facility and grounds site inspections.
3. Assist with the administration of facility infrastructure projects, contracts, grants and leases to ensure activities are progressing as
intended, both in terms of quality and compliance.
4. Assist with the induction of new contractors before undertaking works onsite.
5. Provide a high level of operational support and assistance to sporting and other organisations utilising the Marrara Precinct to ensure
the facilities are properly maintained.
6. Provide a high level of operational event management support and assistance to existing venue hirers and external hirers.
7. Assist with event management related administrative and budget reporting activities.
8. Monitor work health and safety compliance across the precinct and regularly assist with after event reviews and reviews of WHS
processes and performance to help ensure that the agency’s legislative WHS obligations are met.
9. Contribute expertise to ensure operational and strategic outcomes are achieved and the facilities throughout the Marrara precinct
are presented to a high standard.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Proven experience in the coordination, operational management and maintenance of multi-purpose sporting complexes or facilities.
2. Demonstrated experience work collaboratively and successfully establishing effective working relationships with stakeholders and
contractors.
3. Experience in working within a regulatory environment applying legislation, policies, and procedures.
4. Previous experience using financial management, booking and invoicing, and reporting systems to achieve revenue and operational
goals.
5. Demonstrated experience with the preparation of facilities for major sporting events.
6. Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to plan simple projects, manage changing priorities and deliver quality outcomes
against agreed standards.
7. Previous experience creating and managing records in compliance with relevant principles, standards and procedures.
