Reporting to the Deputy Clerk and Executive Director, Strategy, Policy and Planning, you will lead a team of eight to deliver high-quality HR, organisational development, and change management services across the Parliamentary Service.
You will oversee the full spectrum of People and Culture services across Queensland.
Key responsibilities
Lead the People and Culture function to deliver high-quality, client-focused services.
Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to shape strategic priorities and drive organisational performance.
Manage complex employment, industrial relations, and WHS matters.
Oversee and lead the Certified Agreement process, ensuring collaborative negotiation and positive outcomes.
Contribute to strategic transformation and change management programs.
Oversee workforce planning, leadership development, and employee engagement initiatives.
Use workforce data to inform reporting and strategic decision-making.
Represent the Parliamentary Service in negotiations and stakeholder consultations.
Manage budgets, resources, and vendors to achieve operational excellence.
What you will bring
Proven success in leading HR teams within complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
Strong capability in employment and industrial relations, including investigation, negotiation, mediation, and advocacy.
Demonstrated experience in driving strategic transformation and organisational improvement.
Proficiency in using workforce data for reporting and strategic advice.
Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
Preparedness to hold or obtain Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator accreditation.
High levels of judgement, integrity, and resilience.
