We are seeking a NILS Applications & Repayments Officer who is passionate about financial inclusion and committed to helping people access fair and respectful financial support through the No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS).
About the Role
In this dynamic and meaningful role, you’ll support individuals and families applying for NILS loans, guide them through the application process, and work compassionately to re-establish repayments for those experiencing hardship.
You'll combine financial administration skills, client service excellence, and digital know-how to support community members in navigating their financial journey with dignity and respect.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting loan applicants from initial enquiry through to submission
- Monitoring repayments and working with clients to resolve arrears
- Reconciling loan repayments and maintaining accurate records
- Providing respectful, inclusive, and confidential support at every step
- Collaborating with our small and dedicated team to ensure smooth program delivery
About You
You’re organised, empathetic, and solutions-focused – someone who can build trust quickly and thrives in a busy, people-centred role. You’re comfortable working independently, managing multiple tasks, and using digital systems with confidence.
You bring
- Experience in client support, admin, or financial services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence with Microsoft Office 365 and online systems
- A respectful and inclusive approach to working with vulnerable people
Minimum requirement:
Certificate III/IV in Community Services, Business Administration, Financial Capability, or equivalent experience.

- Working with Children Check
