Operational Contracts Coordinator

About the role
The Operational Contracts Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the Coach Services and Operations Contracts teams by assisting with reporting, identifying operational efficiencies, and working with Contract Managers to improve supplier performance and contract outcomes.
Reporting to the Manager, Coach Operations & Contracts, you will collaborate with Contract Managers, broader Operations teams, Finance, Legal, Procurement, and Suppliers to ensure effective contract management, compliance, and service delivery. Your work will support improved financial performance, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, process improvement, and risk management.
Additional accountabilities include:
Supporting contract management through KPI monitoring, compliance, quality reviews, reporting, and supplier engagement.
Assisting with invoicing, spend analysis, cost reconciliation, and identifying operational efficiencies.
Maintaining effective governance processes, including document control and stakeholder communication.
Collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders, including conducting on-site supplier and station visits, to support contract requirements.
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives such as quality review enhancements, uniform and facilities planning, contractor performance tracking, and process optimisation across cleaning and transport contracts and others as required.

You’re organised and able to juggle competing priorities. You’re comfortable working with data, have good attention to detail, and understand the importance of clear processes, compliance, and reporting.

The remuneration for this position will be in accordance with the V/Line Rail Operations and Administrative Employees Agreement 2023. The salary range, aligned with Clerk C1 - C3, is $80,860 to $96,767 base, and will be offered commensurate with expectations and experience.
