About the role

Provide efficient and effective cleaning, porterage, and waste services to both clinical and non-clinical areas within various hospitals across Metro North Hospital and Health Service (MNHHS).

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

Cleaning duties which may include light and heavy cleaning tasks such as cleaning high and low, including walls, windows, ceiling, furniture, and fittings, and sweeping, dusting, vacuuming and polishing. Maintain all work areas in a clean and safe condition. Regular cleaning of the patients' rooms, bathrooms, corridors and toilets, general administration, clinical and public areas throughout the complex.
Change shower curtains on a regular basis in accordance with local procedure.
Removal and rehanging of curtains in the wards on a rotational basis for cleaning in accordance with agreed procedures.
Assist healthcare professionals in the provision of patient care associated with Wards such as lifting, turning and escorting patients.
Assist healthcare professionals in the provision of patient care work associated with the delivery of clinical support services by performing a range of basic nonprofessional tasks and transporting of patients from one area to another using bed, trolley, or wheelchair.
