About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Program Change Lead to drive change within a student CRM (Salesforce) platform implementation Program. The role is an excellent opportunity to play a lead in a key Program in Macquarie University’s digital transformation. You will report directly to the Program Manager, developing and coordinating delivery of the change strategy to implement a new, consolidated, and secure student CRM platform that will allow effective connection to successfully support students throughout their education.
Digital Transformation is one of the six fundamental commitments of the Macquarie University Operating Plan: to embrace emerging technologies to better connect, engage, and collaborate. The core focus of the University’s digital transformation strategy is enabling the objectives of Students First through five key focus areas, seeking to drive excellent experiences and outcomes in every dimension of students’ interactions with the University.
The Student 360 Program will deliver a student CRM (Salesforce) platform that will realise our ambitions for end-to-end student engagement and service delivery, and allow the University to:
- Provide a unified, 360-degree view of each student that will enhance our ability to engage with them (including privacy protections and controls).
- Support the transformation of business processes, providing identification of opportunities for improved services to students and support service delivery.
- Enable context-specific services and personalisation to successfully support students throughout their journey.
- Provide a contemporary technology platform that can evolve with the changing needs and aspirations of the University and to truly connect with our students as individuals.
- Gain insights and analytics across the whole student journey, to provide better metrics and inform improvements of University services and experience.
- Replace and decommission legacy systems.
You will support the Program Manager to deliver a priority Program within the Macquarie University digital transformation strategy. The Change Lead will be an essential part of the strategic delivery team, influencing decisions, managing diverse stakeholders, and leading the development and execution of high-quality change and communications strategies.
Your expertise as a change agent, grounded in contemporary change management frameworks, will drive effective models for strategic initiatives across the portfolio, applying both organisational and people change skills to varying impacts, helping to ensure timely delivery to support the Macquarie University digital transformation.
About You
You are a proactive individual with prior experience leading change management outcomes in a higher education setting. You have successfully delivered change outcomes as part of large digital transformation projects, requiring people, process, technology, and cultural change.
Your adept verbal and written communication will facilitate conveying intricate concepts to diverse stakeholders. Your skill in simplifying complex information will enrich our change strategies, fostering understanding and alignment. Your senior project manager perspective on change will enhance the practicality & effectiveness of change delivery.

- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and/or substantial experience in change management.
- Accreditation in Prosci or a similar change management methodology and deep experience with change management practices and frameworks.
- Previous experience in driving service delivery transformation as part of a CRM implementation.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders, including those at executive and senior management levels.
- Demonstrated track record in planning organisation-wide strategic change management initiatives, coupled with experience in designing and implementing change management interventions to achieve business benefits.
- Adeptness in gauging organisational readiness and identifying risks (along with appropriate mitigations) to facilitate change implementation.
- Capability to strategise for priority outcomes and respond adeptly to evolving circumstances.
- Proficiency in multitasking within a fast-paced environment, delivering to stringent deadlines.
- Capacity to lead while also collaborating with fellow members of the change team to ensure alignment across the Program.
