The Program Facilitator will deliver therapeutic programs to small groups of 10-12 prisoners, focusing on addressing violence, addiction, and other offending behaviours. In collaboration with a co-facilitator, the role ensures participants have the opportunity to engage in behaviour change and establish a risk management plan to increase community safety.

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

  • A degree (or progression toward) in Psychology or Social Work.
  • Experience in delivering group programs and interventions, ideally within correctional, welfare, or institutional settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage group dynamics and work with participants who may have complex mental health or behavioural issues.
  • Qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Strong report writing and communication skills to document offender progress and behaviour.
  • Understanding of cognitive behavioural approaches to address and change offending behaviours.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment and respond to diverse participant needs.
