An exciting opportunity for a Program Manager to join the Technology Transformation team at Westpac. UNITE is a business-driven, technology-powered transformation focused on simplifying processes and delivering benefits for customers, employees, and shareholders. The Enterprise Testing Uplift Initiative supports by providing integrated test environments, data, and tools, helping business-led teams plan, execute, and manage testing effectively.
The Senior Project Manager – Central Functions Lead is instrumental in leading, managing and embedding effective and compliant project management practices in adherence with Westpac’s Transformation Delivery Standard (TDS) across three delivery streams - Environments, Data and Platforms/Tooling.
This role is the focal point for governance stakeholders pertaining to regulatory obligations, enterprise policies, methodologies, processes, standards, frameworks and controls
What do I need?
- Strong track record of leading and delivering medium to large enterprise programs and projects, with well-honed skills in leadership, planning, and execution (e.g. budgets above $100M, with program/project duration up to 3 years, with teams typically ranging up to 50 resources).
- High developed understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks, information security, privacy and operational risk principles.
- Deep experience embedding risk, security or compliance controls into technology programs or transformation initiatives.
- Proficient in managing cross-functional teams and influencing delivery leaders to implement effective governance practices.
- Outstanding ability to work a diverse selection of senior stakeholders and communicating across business and technical areas.
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Demonstrated professional resilience, adaptability and ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with multiple competing demands.
- Youa re decisive, highly organised and able to cater your language and style to suit your audience.
- Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organisational skills to drive structure across concurrent change streams.
