Queensland Corrective Services (QCS) is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Support Officer to join the Community Corrections and Specialist Operations (CCSO) Program Management Office (PMO). The CCSO division provides specialised services to support offenders in the community and the Parole Board Queensland, and is currently undergoing significant transformation.
The CCSO PMO plays a key role in delivering strategic projects aligned with QCS's broader reform agenda. As Project Support Officer, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of the PMO and supporting senior staff across a range of administrative and project functions.
About the Role
You will provide high-level administrative and project support to the CCSO PMO, including:
Managing correspondence, reports, and documentation using MS Office and internal systems.
Supporting financial processes including invoice payments, procurement, and reconciliations using SAP.
Coordinating travel bookings and reconciling usage through Corporate Travel Management systems.
Assisting with HR reporting, timesheet reconciliation, and payroll adjustments.
Supporting onboarding activities to ensure seamless commencement for new staff.
Monitoring deadlines and ensuring timely follow-up and action.
Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
About You
You are organised, adaptable, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You bring:
Demonstrated experience providing effective administrative support to senior management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise across all levels.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, using initiative and sound judgment.
Excellent time management and problem-solving skills in a dynamic setting.
Intermediate to advanced IT skills, particularly in MS365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Understanding of business systems and a proactive approach to process improvement.
