About the Role
Reporting to the Manager - Child & Family Wellbeing, you will provide positive experiences for all users of the John McVeity Centre (JMC) by focusing on high levels of customer service, effective administration support, coordinating venue hire, bookings, events, activities and programs. JMC is a sporting, health and wellbeing community centre and part of the City of Playford.
The JMC provides opportunities for people to come together and connect socially through sports competitions, group fitness classes, opportunities for venue hire and a range of other activities and programs. Additionally, the Reception and Administration Officer will support the purchasing of orders, monitor and reconcile banking, oversee hire arrangements and manage incoming and outgoing correspondence for the centre.
About You.
You’re a natural communicator with a professional and approachable manner and a genuine interest for helping others. You are passionate about contributing to an Organisation that provides information, services, and infrastructure that supports a growing and thriving Playford community.
You’ll bring experience in administration and customer service, ideally in a community, sporting, or leisure centre setting. You’re confident using technology and systems, can work independently, and enjoy being part of a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
A Certificate in Community Services or Business Administration is desirable, but not essential; as well as any barista or basic retail experience.
Incumbents in this position are required to possess or be willing to obtain, a National Criminal History Clearance as well as a DSCI Working with Children Check
