Exciting opportunity to support the relocation of the Tribunal to a new venue

Join a highly supportive team with a superior focus on quality service outcomes

Fixed term role with career development opportunities available

About Us
Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.
Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'.
Our people enable the Courts Group to deliver on each jurisdiction's own strategic priorities while also pursuing strategic opportunities that are interconnected and deliver benefits more broadly.

VCAT
The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) is a justice service that resolves a wide range of disputes for the Victorian community, including renting, planning, and consumer disputes. VCAT is committed to delivering an accessible service for all Victorians and is transforming our digital products and services to make it faster, easier, and more convenient for people to come to the tribunal.
In 2023 CSV's Built Environment team secured a lease of VCAT's new venue at 300 Latrobe Street, Melbourne as facilities at 55 King Street, Melbourne are no longer adequate and suitable for VCAT operations and the implementation of essential operational reforms and efficiency improvements. VCAT works in partnership with the CSV's project team to have the venue designed and deliver to its business requirements.
The new venue will be fitted out through 2025 to become fully operational in early 2026. The venue will consolidate VCAT's operations currently divided between 55 King Street and 414 Latrobe Street.

About the Role
The Reolocation Support Officers will support the relocation to maintain continuity of business and ensuring the completion of all activities and transactons in the current locations.
The position will work closely with the on-site facility team for any facility-related operations at VCAT and provide support for the move to a new location, managing logistical and administrative aspects of the transition. The role is responsible for:
  • participating in the planning and management of relocation activities
  • coordinating pre-relocation activities such as the disposal of obsolete items, materials, equipment and furniture
  • liaising closely with removalist contractors in the preparation of the relocation move, including communication with internal stakeholders
  • supporting the inventory process to ensure accurate tracking and preparation for the move
  • maintaining clear and consistent communication with VCAT's members and staff, landlords, moving companies and other relevant parties.

This role is fixed term until 30 June 2026

About You
The ideal candidate will have strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and timelines in a dynamic environment. You will have experience in coordinating office relocations or fit-out projects, including managing logistics, assets, operations, facilities, events or administrative support.
The ideal candidate will also have demonstrated:
  • ability to engage and support a diverse range of stakeholders
  • experience working in a change environment
  • strong proactive abilities applying flexibility and adaptability to meet objectives
  • sound knowledge and application of technology and software applications
  • exceptional customer focus with a commitment to delivering quality outcomes
