About the role

As a Risk Manager – Workplaces, you’ll play a key role in embedding the Group Risk Management Framework across the Workplaces Line of Business (LoB) and supporting material risks owned by the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).You’ll partner with the CCO and Workplaces leadership to manage audits, incidents, regulatory obligations, and foster a strong risk culture aligned with ART’s enterprise standards.



The role reports to the Business Manager – Workplaces and actively supports the CCO in meeting Executive risk management obligations.


Day to day, you'll:

  • Oversee risk management for the Workplaces Line of Business (LoB), ensuring risks are within appetite and mitigation plans are in place.
  • Integrate risk practices into planning and change initiatives across Workplaces.
  • Conduct proactive risk assessments to identify and address potential threats.
  • Support LoB control owners with risk, compliance, and reporting requirements.
  • Deliver high-quality data and insights to support informed decision-making.
  • Own and manage LoB Scorecard risk metrics to drive performance.
  • Lead and contribute to risk governance forums and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Manage incident response and continuous improvement processes.
  • Advise Workplaces leaders on risk implications, balancing innovation and resilience.
  • Align with enterprise risk frameworks and assurance activities.
  • Coordinate audits and regulatory reviews.
  • Champion a strong risk culture through leadership, guidance, and training.

About you

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

  • Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, methodologies and controls, particularly in a strategic change and growth environment.
  • Knowledge of enterprise risk, operational risk and compliance requirements, including regulatory and governance expectations.
  • Familiarity with growth business units and strategic change principles.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to influence, particularly in complex organisational structures and growth teams.
  • Proven experience in a Line 1 risk management role, ideally within growth or customer facing environments.
  • Experience embedding risk practices into strategic initiatives, programs or large-scale growth initiatives.
  • Experience in risk reporting, governance forums and risk monitoring.
  • Strong knowledge of APRA Risk Management Prudential Standards, operational risk, compliance frameworks, and control assurance processes.
