Description
The role is responsible for all administration relating to the day to day running of Longwood Thoroughbred Farm, reporting to the General Manager.
The successful applicant will be highly motivated, conscientious, with excellent communication and organisational skills. Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining monthly accounts and invoicing
- Studbook administration
- Booking mares to stallions
- Maintaining accurate veterinary records
- Reporting and communicating with clients regarding coverings, foaling, mares and horse progress
- Liaising with stud staff and suppliers
- Arranging horse transport as required
- General administration and reception duties
A background knowledge and understanding of horses and terminology is required for this role.
Excellent computer skills are essential, candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Xero and possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Previous experience with a horse management system (Prism) would be an advantage.
