About the role:
The ICT Project Officer delivers essential project administration, technical support, and change management functions, providing comprehensive first and second level ICT support to preschools, schools, and corporate offices. This role contributes to continuous improvement through stakeholder training, thorough process documentation, issue resolution, and high-quality customer service, while collaborating with ICT teams to troubleshoot complex problems and implement effective solutions that help achieve project objectives and organisational goals.
About you:
- Communication and interpersonal Skills: Sound communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders and staff, deal with a range of issues and prepare and deliver effective written documentation.
- Task management: Proven ability to work effectively under limited direction in a team environment, exercise initiative and judgement where procedures are not clearly defined, set goals, determine priorities, establish timeframes and plan and organise work while maintaining accuracy, integrity and confidentiality.
- Technical adaptability and implementation: Experience in learning new technologies and tools efficiently and supporting, and/or undertaking infrastructure and network changes, projects and initiatives.
- Customer service: Experience in providing high quality customer and project services in an ICT environment, including identifying performance outcomes, troubleshooting issues and using initiative when operating a range of infrastructure systems, hardware and applications.
- Technical knowledge: Sound knowledge of ICT infrastructure (server and desktop hardware, network peripherals, mobile devices etc.), TCP/IP, LAN/WAN environments and information system security principles, practice and technologies within a Microsoft technologies environment.
- Education sector knowledge: Knowledge of the role of the agency and an understanding of school and /or preschool environment and of the systems and ICT challenges within this context.
Qualifications:
Essential: Nil
Desirable: A qualification related to, or knowledge of, ITIL methods and modern trends, standards and the practical application of information and communication technology service delivery environment.
Special conditions:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration:
- ASO4 $76,561 - $80,256 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading
