We are currently seeking an Officer – Contracts based at the Kelmscott Depot.
In this permanent role you will be responsible for processing purchase orders, invoices, pay claims, conduct administration duties to ensure the smooth operation of the TARR Water Treatment South teams as well as support the preparation, evaluation and reviewing requests for quotations, small scale tenders and contracts, as well as administering the Contractor Work Management Process to ensure compliance.
What the role will involve:
- Management and processing of purchase order requests, the approval of invoices, progress payments and contractor claims to ensure contractor compliance and obligations.
- Preparing reports and recommendations in regard to contract guidelines and awards including the execution of contracts.
- Providing advice for improvements for process and contract specifications and procedures.
- Analysing and interpreting contract data, identifying risks and recommending strategies.
- Organising engagement of small-scale Contractors and manage compliance of contractor insurances.
- Auditing the application of the Contract Work Management processes and procedures as necessary.
- Developing ongoing relationships with external service providers and suppliers
- Provide support to OM Team Leaders / Managers in administrative functions and provision of minor purchasing function as required
- Processing of pay claims of OM staff as required by Team Leaders.
Key skills and experience:
- Qualifications (or progress towards) in Business Administration, Procurement, Inventory Management or Logistics
- Relevant experience and demonstrated knowledge of procurement processes, contract administration and management.
- Experience in reviewing technical and commercial specifications for contracts. Ability to develop tender documentation and the quotation of small-scale works.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment and individually
